Saturday Quotations: Character

>> Saturday, August 22, 2009

Somehow, this seemed appropriate given the my recent posts. Note that I'm a believer that actions speak louder than words. You'll see that in my characters. To me, someone of character can't be apathetic.

Character does count. For too long we have gotten along in a society that says the only thing right is to get by and the only thing wrong is to get caught. For me character is simple. Character is doing what's right when nobody is looking.

i have to agree that action is what makes us who we are...
i hate people who always talk about doing this or doing that and they never do. And not to mention they turn around and bash the people that do what they say they are going to do...

i believe you do what you can to be a better person every day, and help your children see that their future is what they make of it.

True character is not force it is lived...

And it is proud wonderful thing to witness when true character is the rule not the exception....

Oh my! Talk about synchronicity! Buzz (Bhawana "Buzzy" B.) has this one in an article on Gather yesterday:

If you don't have enemies, you don't have character.
    – Paul Newman

Nice quotes. I found few of these interesting.
    Thoughtful quotes.

    Another fine crop of quotes.

“Character is what you do when nobody’s looking.” (Don’t remember who said that first. J.C. Watts said it in a speech, but he was hardly the first.)

Thank you so much for illustrating a post on character with a picture of Ronald Reagan. I applaud your choice.
