Wouldn't You Know It

If it's not one thing, it's another. I'm posting this remotely, but I can't take the time to do a real post. Theoretically, my home lines will be fixed by tomorrow (Wednesday). If so, I'll do better.

I am feeling better, though, even if I'm not all well yet, and I appreciate all the good wishes.

Now, if I could just get all of my electronics up and running again so I don't feel disembodied, I'll be great.

Thanks for you patience during our technical difficulties.

Hope you're up and running quickly. Isn't it funny how we are totally lost if we don't have these electronic devices we didn't even have 15-20 years ago?

Yea, it's said. I needed to look up how to get somewhere that was 2 block away and I can't remember my schedule at all

    * it's sad (like my spelling skills)

The bright side is, you can reorganize those wires behind your desk so they are not a ball of wires anymore.

Glad you're feeling better... hope your electronics are up and running soon.

Two words - Orange Juice! About the lines being out of order, though... nope, not a clue.

Hey, if you're home sick, who's doing EVA safety on the Hubble mission?

Good luck with the lines and your health. Both so very necessary!
So, what are you doing in your down time? Looking forward to your answer.

Thanks for all the well wishing.

    Hi, flit.

Lola, ain't it the truth. We're desperately spoiled.

Aron, we become completely dependent. I used to be able to remember phone numbers - now, if they're not programmed into my phone, I have to look 'em up. (And don't sweat the spelling - that's a side effect of dyslexia and you do pretty wonderfully - and everyone makes typos). As for the rat's nest, Lee set up my computer on a little rolling table so it's pretty organized or would be if Roxy wouldn't keep yanking on cables.

Thanks, Davida. They're supposed to come fix it this morning. We'll see. And I am better. Not well, precisely, but no longer completely miserable.

Roy, I just had a huge glass of orange juice, yum! I actually haven't worked EVA safety in four years, though I'm still often working safety projects. Now, though, I handle things project by project instead of always doing the one thing. I am keeping an eye on this mission. This one scares me most.

flemlisa, I would LOVE to say I did something fabulous and exciting with my "down time" but, with the fever, I mostly just existed and with the internet blackout, I'm reworking my Bete novel for a major rework (Get those comments in, flit!) and, scarily, organizing my DVDs in my new DVD player.

Oh man, I was buried under appointments (and having to leave the building all day on Monday because they turned the water off), and didn't even realize you'd been under the weather. I'm glad you're coming out of it now. But do treat yourself kindly, even so.

    Grrr. Speaking of typos...

Glad you are feeling better, I've had a cold for a week now, even had a fever for a couple days and I even stayed away from work for 3 days, I missed maybe 3 days in the last 3 years so I kind of know how you feel.
